Patchwork Of Fading Chemistry
Fashioned upon a patchwork of
Fading chemistry
The homes
The roads
The withering bones
Of horse and buggy villages
Moan with lost impressions and
Dim reflections as
Shadows on the ground
evaporate
With passing souls
That age and disappear
and reappear
In generations locked within their roots
That they thought had
Sunk beneath the surface of those
Dried up springs
And liquid streams
That flowed away in dusty books
Of sad depression tales
Rolling westward trails
native wars
and lifetimes buried
In debris
From freeway paths
And terbo-jet technology
