who died 09/04/2005 When one is raised in the context of conservative religious fundamentalism everything is evaluated (both animate as well as inanimate objects) on basis of where it fits within the theological spectrum of the brand religious conservatism being adhered to (Zoroastrian, Hebrew, Christian, Muslim, etc). In my case, it was southern (as in deep fried) baptist religious fundamentalism, one of many different baptist fundamentalisms, which is only a small sliver of the christian fundamentalisms, which (in turn) is only a mustard-sized piece of all religious fundamentalisms, but in the universe of my youth, southern baptist religious fundamentalism WAS the universe, so therefore everything was based upon the precepts that evolved within this particular sect, such as "catholics are idolators", "mormons are pagans", "jews are lost" and "muslims are primitive". But this was before September 11, 2001 when the catholics and mormons (in particular) joined forces with the various christian fundamentalisms to keep the current resident in the White House in order ressurect the Holy Crusades against the "infidels".
