Mated Chord
Upon the landscape
of the species
Souls are merging
parting
waking in the mists
Of wrists
locked in grips
and shorn
of shades
And walls of
surging barricades
They ride the currents
of electric
fantasy
And sail
within cabins
Of invested
moments
touches
tears
But somewhere in the bulkhead
of shattered threads
and puzzled heads
There is a mated
chord
that strikes
With mystic energy and
I want just a glimpse
a brief caress
an instant
Held in time
By fingers
Locked and
intertwined
