You took your fame
And grasped it hard
With fingers
Locked in time
We saw the flash
Of your small life
And how it crashed
Upon the rocky crust
Of distant goals
And strong desire
Your name may
Quickly shatter
And decay
Within this universe
Of data thirst
And media play
But in this shard
Of digital flak
There will always be
That first attack
Of one girl's
flight
from gravity
from travesty
From social blight
and spiritual insanity
Take us with you
lead the way
May we learn to see beyond our
age
beyond our skin
Beyond the limits
of the wind
