Fishin' Tale
There were two men
sittin' in a boat
in the middle of a fishin' tale
they wanted to bring
back
For
braggin' rights
with the guys back at the greasy spoon
on the corner of
fantasy
Where they gather
daily
for consumption
of bravado
Dredged
from last night's
sports bonanzas
and other
spandex
fallacies
But they've gotta figure out
a way to make another
boring run at outdoor
splendor
Seem like something
worthy of a rerun
showing nightly in the minds of
other men who wish
That they had gone along
but the sun has set
and left them staring at those
infomercials
They can't
peel away from who they are
stuck in a lineup of dull
zirconium
baubles
Flashing in a
sunset
pan
thrown out with the
other camping
trash
Now they have to go back
and face the
Muzak
