Dine' Bahane

Navajo creation
Mystical elation
Lifted on the wind
   of flutes
      and drums
And feather
   weathered on the breeze
      with spirits
Lounging in the lap
Of painted skirts
   and leather tracks
And packs of turquoise
   stained
      and fluttered
         sandstone
Slowly blown
Upon the fingers
   of a shaman
      gathering
Hope
   within the circle
      of infinity
